Selena Buttery is the founder of Project Grace, a community-based organization working to improve childhood experiences and provide young people with basic necessities.
Selena organizes events to promote literacy, provide holiday gifts and school supplies to those in need, and teach youth about planting and other topics.
Her project has hosted multiple events, including a back-to-school event where youth received a backpack of school supplies while having fun with face painting, photo booths, and other volunteer-run activities. At their fall/Halloween event, young attendees received a bag to collect scarves, hats, gloves, and other winter clothing while enjoying a free basket raffle, coloring, and a movie.
Project Grace’s winter event focused on holiday gifts for families and children who could not afford them, and their spring event focused on literacy and providing families with books for all ages.
