Ian Brown

Ian holds a Master’s Degree in Public Policy and Affairs with a focus on environmental policy from the University at Albany: SUNY and a Bachelor’s Degree in Conservation Science from Muskingum University. He has multiple years of experience working in the government and non-profit sectors in land use planning, community development, and environmental education in cities throughout the country. Ian brings experience managing youth based programs in the City of Pittsburgh and Raleigh, North Carolina. Ian is currently the Project Manager of the Green Playces initiative. A program linking vacant lands in the city with youth based programming and environmental education to build outdoor classrooms and educational environments in five areas of high vacancy throughout the region. Ian also sits on the Kingsley Association’s EJCAM initiative, Mount Lebanon’s Environmental Sustainability Board and is a on the Pittsburgh Botanical Garden’s Environmental Committee.
