Early in his career, Brian served as Classrooms for the Future technology integration coach for the Penn Hills School District. In this role, Brian was responsible for managing and integrating nearly half a million dollars worth of new technology into classrooms throughout the district. As an instructional coach, Brian worked side-by-side with the district’s teachers as they infused 21st-century skills and methodologies into daily instruction.

In 2012, Brian hosted a national video conference on the Tuskegee Airmen at Penn Hills High School with support from the Allegheny Intermediate Unit. Over a thousand students from sites across the United States participated in this interactive video conference where members of the famed Tuskegee Airmen spoke throughout the day about their experiences. For three years, Brian led the district’s online learning initiative. Brian was promoted to assistant principal in 2016. During that time he helped lead staff in the implementation of Google Apps for Education and earned certification as a Google Level I and Level II educator.

In 2019 Brian left the Penn Hills School District to come to the Allegheny Intermediate Unit where he is the Principal of Community School West, an alternative education school in McKees Rocks, Pennsylvania.  Brian continues to promote technology integration in this role with a strong focus on using technology to address behavior deficits.
