Cassandra Brentley is a research practitioner and owner of PBO Collaborative Consulting, LLC. Cassandra built her career working in both for-profit and non-profit organizations. Her expertise in organizational leadership with a focus on K-12 Education gives her a broad skill set that allows her to implement new initiatives during times of change. She approaches her work through the lens of human-centered design, leaning into LUMA methods to create innovative solutions for her clients.

Cassandra’s research interests include equity and social justice issues that contribute to the opportunity gap in education, the digital divide, and how students of color and other historically marginalized people are left behind in the preparation for the future of work and success in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Cassandra is pursuing her doctorate in Urban Education at the University of Pittsburgh. She also works as the Director of Special Projects for the Center for Urban Education at the University of Pittsburgh School of Education. In this role, she works as an instructional designer, where she designs and delivers programming for the Ready to Learn Math Mentoring program and other out-of-school-time research projects. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Marketing Communications and Business Certificate in Marketing from Duquesne University, as well as a Master of Arts in Education in Adult Learning and Training from Argosy University.
