Meredith Bortz is trusted and known for her ability to help leaders put big visions into action. She enjoys working on strategic projects with leaders and teams, bringing an eye for critical details and respect for diverse perspectives to every change effort.
Meredith is currently an independent consultant at Bortz Consulting. Her current projects include serving as the communications lead for Shifting Power in Educational Research and Development and facilitating several book study groups focused on White Fragility by Robin DiAngelo. Previously, she served as Chief Operating Officer at Sevenzo, a nonprofit that connects educators from across the country to create more caring and inclusive student learning environments.
Equity and inclusion are at the center of Meredith’s work in education. She enjoys working on projects that create safe and culturally-affirming learning spaces for all students; bring attention to the narratives and experiences of traditionally marginalized groups; strengthen individual and institutional practices that support diversity, equity, and inclusion; learn from, elevate, and support the work of dedicated educators; and facilitate cross-stakeholder dialogue to listen, understand, and move forward.
