Ronel Baccus has started a grassroots movement called ‘Unity in the Community’ in her county to stop racism and to promote more diversity. Her work focuses on addressing issues like capitalism, the lack of healthcare, systematic poverty, homelessness, and Education. Ronel looks to be a voice for the children, breaking lines of division in the school system, fighting against poverty, and the school to prison pipeline.

Ronel is passionate about building bridges across the jurisdictional and racial lines in her community. She wants to strengthen her community, her county, and her region. Ronel is bringing the community together in unity, solidarity and peace. She also encourages people to build each other up. She is demanding change and working toward for change.
