Kristin Alvarez

Kristin Alvarez has more than 12 years of teaching experience and is currently serves as an administrator at Holy Family Academy where she designs relevant and engaging learning

Kristin graduated from Clemson University with a B.S. in Health Science and immediately began serving adolescents from urban communities. Kristin has more than 12 years of teaching experience and is currently leading curriculum design and management of a series of leadership classes at Holy Family Academy as well as serving at the Student Success Coordinator. She co-constructs learning spaces that foster a bias towards action around real life experiences, creates opportunities for dialogue and works with students to engage in reciprocal learning. In order to facilitate these in class experiences for students, Kristin develops new partnerships, cultivates existing partnerships, and seeks funding opportunities for student projects.The 3 foci that have been central to her work over the past 12 years are social justice, student voice, and equitable education.
