Emmai Alaquiva, an Emmy Award-wining producer, entrepreneur and mentor is known for his strong presence in the music and radio industries. Once Homeless, staying in local shelters across the city, Alaquiva now holds multiple prominent positions in the field of sound. In addition to have served as the Director of Production for WAMO 106.7fm, Alaquiva is also the owner of Ya Momz House, LLC a full-service multimedia company as well as the founder and Executive Director of Hip Hop On L.O.C.K., an arts education program for youth K-12. Today, Alaquiva is an award winning Filmmaker, Creative Arts teacher for Propel Schools and recently awarded Urban Empowerment Award Winner (Urban League), Pittsburgh Courier’s “FAB 40” and Whirl Magazines “50 Finest”. His passion for his work, and love of the people that create art with him, will continue to inspire us all to live Alaquivas personal mantra, “the sky is NOT the limit”.
