Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania (VOAPA) operates 30 separate programs throughout the state through the work of 175 employees and 1,910 volunteers with an annual budget of $8.1 million. 81.3% of every dollar spent directly supports programs and services.
With a century-old mission “to reach and uplift people”, VOAPA is one of the state’s oldest, most diversified and most effective charities. Since 1896, the organization has worked in partnership with local faith congregations, government agencies, businesses, individuals and other nonprofit organizations, seeking to meet the many pressing social needs in the communities they serve with willingness, creativity and compassion.
