The Arc of Butler County is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides services and supports to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Butler, Indiana, Lawrence, Armstrong, and Allegheny Counties.

The Arc of Butler County operates a group of programs, known as AERO, which focus on employment and independent living outcomes for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Located in a welcoming and central location, AERO provides two key areas of assistance: Vocational Skills (resume building, job searching, interview skills, technology use); and Daily Living Skills (cooking/cleaning, personal hygiene, budgeting, community integrations, appropriate socialization).

The mission of AERO’s Afterschool Program is to foster an environment that allows students with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve the necessary skills for life after high school. The Arc of Butler County focuses on collaboration with educators, parents, students, and community agencies to ensure successful outcomes for students.

AERO prides itself in having an innovative approach and using assistive technology to encourage students with disabilities to thrive independently in this new age.
