The Riverside Beaver School District is a small, rural school district working to transform its middle school art department into a more creative, STEAM-friendly space. The Riverside Middle School art department is currently referred to as Cultural Enrichment. The department has invested in Hummingbird robotics equipment, as well as new approaches to preparing today’s students to fill the jobs of the future in our region. Middle school art students collaborate in groups to create art projects that promote teamwork and they build projects using limited re-purposed materials. Most importantly, they embrace the challenges that are assigned to them and celebrate their creativity!
