Community leaders working to advance learning innovation in Southwestern Pennsylvania and West Virginia.
The Remake Learning Council is a blue-ribbon commission of distinguished leaders from the education, government, business and civic sectors working together to support teaching, mentoring, and design — across formal and informal educational settings — that spark creativity in kids, activating them to acquire knowledge and skills necessary for navigating lifelong learning, the workforce, and citizenship.
Among its priorities, the Council supports regional efforts that prepare parents and caregivers as advocates who smartly connect kids with innovative learning programs in schools, museums, libraries, community centers, and online; pursues research findings that explain the impact of learning pathways and networks; and expands partnerships and investments that advance digital, maker, and STEAM teaching and learning. The Council provides strategic recommendations that put kids first in a region that embraces world-class learning opportunities for all.
The Council is led by a team of co-chairs, many of whom continue to guide the Council after their tenure as members of the emeritus Co-Chair Cabinet.
