PASTEM helps teachers enhance and facilitate science, technology, engineering, and mathematics education in the classroom. Their goals are to:
- Increase student interest in further study and careers in STEM
- Develop lasting partnerships within the community that support STEM education
- Involve teachers to serve as the bridge between out-of-school time and classroom learning
PASTEM helps school districts by providing a focus on curriculum improvement, enhanced educational opportunities, and professional development for teachers that is aligned to all elements of the Pennsylvania Common Core’s assessment anchors to provide students with 21st-century work skills. PA STEM also leverages the digital economy to increase educational opportunities and connects with business growth.
