Ohio County Schools is located in the northern panhandle of West Virginia and serves approximately 5,400 students in grades PreK-12. The district is dedicated to providing the highest quality education and opportunities to students, and in order to achieve that goal, Ohio County Schools regularly seeks stakeholder input to inform long-range strategic planning.

The district’s current emphasis is on innovation and technology, which includes a 1:1 initiative, the creation of innovative spaces in each school, and ongoing and personalized professional development for teachers. Ohio County Schools utilizes the SAMR and DOK frameworks to guide the design of instruction and the discussion of instructional innovation and is looking for authentic audiences with whom teachers can partner to increase the authenticity of our student work.
