New Century Careers works to develop Southwestern Pennsylvania’s manufacturing workforce by providing various training opportunities for individuals. NCC was established as a non-profit to support pre-employment and incumbent manufacturing workers, as well as their current or future employers to help clients advance economically through continuous workforce education and training. Since 1999, New Century Careers has trained more than 3,000 men un/underemployed and women for manufacturing jobs. Today, NCC is the only Pittsburgh nonprofit organization providing entry-level machinist training, free of charge, to job seekers.
Local manufacturers understand the difficulty in finding motivated, trainable employees. The need for a highly skilled workforce has formed the foundation of our organization. New Century Careers seeks to improve the lives of individuals through the development of skills that lead to family-sustaining wages, and careers.
