The Mount Ararat Community Activity Center, Inc. (MACAC) was established in 1990 as a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. MACAC is committed to helping Pittsburgh families and individuals through outreach.
MACAC provides a variety of programs, services, resources, and information to the community and promotes collaborative efforts with entities that are vital to the community. The center’s vision is to strengthen fundamental family values so that families continue to function in a healthy and empowered manner. MACAC understands the importance of creating opportunities for vulnerable families and individuals.
The specific mission of MACAC is to improve the quality of life of families and individuals throughout the greater Pittsburgh community by:
- Empowering families and individuals to become productively independent.
- Fostering conditions that assure economic stability of families and individuals.
- Providing programs and services that support and encourage functional family values.
MACAC focuses on the family as a comprehensive unit and believes that this can promote fundamental change in the negative conditions that affect the quality of life for those served by the center.
