Began in 1936, the Monessen Public Library & Cultural Center has been a cornerstone of the Monessen community for over 80 years. The library supports three core missions: to promote reading, offer access to information, and anchor the community. These three missions contribute to make the Monessen Public Library & Cultural Center an integral and relevant part of the community.
The library offers a wide variety of educational, recreational, and cultural programs including gallery displays, musical performances, genealogy forums, STEM programming for children and teens, guest speaking engagements, Summer Reading Club, book discussion groups, computers for public usage, Wi-Fi, e-books, and much more. The library also has meeting rooms available for groups both large and small.
