The Methodist Union of Social Agencies (MUSA) has been operational for over sixty years in Homestead, Pennsylvania. MUSA’s staff and supporters have dedicated time and resources to providing quality, developmentally appropriate educational support and care for children in the Mon Valley and its surrounding neighborhoods, including Homestead, Munhall, West Homestead, McKeesport, Braddock, West Mifflin, and more.
MUSA’s Before and After School programs are held inside the respective elementary schools for maximum convenience, and the preschool program is located at the Steel Valley Council of Governments building, which also contains many Head Start and Pre-K Counts programs. MUSA’s Summer Camp is conveniently located in Homestead.
MUSA serves approximately 100 local students year-round. Ninety percent of students are eligible for free and reduced lunches and 80% are students of color. MUSA is committed to providing equitable enrichment opportunities for these students so that they can contribute to helping the Homestead area thrive. Through programs, students have access to STEAM-based curriculum and activities, daily meals and snacks, homework help, and mentoring.
