Kelly Strayhorn Theater is an intimate, professionally-equipped, 350-seat multiple-use performance venue in the East Liberty neighborhood of Pittsburgh. To enter the theater is to be in the presence of two creative and passionate spirits, who with their talent, tenacity, and love of their craft provide inspiration for us today: famed dancer and Hollywood movie legend Gene Kelly, born and raised in East Liberty, and Homewood-bred jazz composer Billy Strayhorn. Their spirits abound in the young East End artists of today.
