Established in 1982, the Human Services Center Corporation (HSCC) improves the quality of life for children, adults, and families in the Mon Valley area. It fulfills this mission by serving as a collaborative leader, acting as a bridge between human service organizations and those who develop policies and funding, monitoring community needs and initiating innovative strategies, and providing essential services to both community members and human service organizations.

The HSCC is a private nonprofit, 501c3 human services “mall” housing over nine agencies and is utilized as an outreach base by over 80 external programs addressing the needs of 37 communities within the Mon Valley. The primary areas of service are: Youth Learning In a Fun Environment After-School Program (Youth LIFE), Kids Outgoing, Outdoing, and Learning Summer Program (KOOL), Emerging Leaders Program (ELP), Mon Valley Providers Council, Supports for Success, and Volunteer Income Tax Assistance.  All three youth programs have outstanding results for children to succeed both academically and in the future because HSCC utilizes successful models and productive staff teams.
