The Hope Center for Arts and Technology, Inc. or “HopeCAT” is a replication of Bill Strickland’s proven Manchester Bidwell Corporation educational model in Pittsburgh. HopeCAT strives to treat people in communities of need with decency and respect by surrounding them with beauty, order, and purpose. HopeCAT is currently executing its plan to expand its world-class job training and youth arts learning center, which will drive economic growth and educational success in the region.
By bringing students into engaging spaces and mentoring them through visual arts, HopeCAT reinforces their model that incorporates “Learn, Create, Celebrate” and focuses on instilling transferable skills and soft skills in an adaptable space that inspires. Their core values of respect, embrace, listen, influence, and shape are embedded into their curriculum as they help students discover their passion and then facilitate their personal and professional growth.
