Greater Valley Community Services, Inc. (GVCS) mission is to strengthen, educate and empower children and families through collaboration and resources while promoting safety, growth and strong community. GVCS is contracted by Allegheny County to provide In-Home and Foster Care Services. GVCS acquired its second site in the Braddock area to expand the community outreach programming. Their building is known as SPACE: Supportive Programs Affording Collaborative Engagement. Their outreach model concentrates on family, education, and health and wellness.

Some of their current programming includes a food pantry, health and fitness, Golden Living senior program, summer writing camp, civic leadership internship, mentoring, SURGE technology program, and workforce development.

Greater Valley Community Services believes all persons deserve the chance to develop in a nurturing, safe, and established environment. They are dedicated to educating and rebuilding the lives of families and children in our community.
