The mission of Friend of Phillips Park is to promote and preserve Phillips Park as a community resource, green space and center of activity in the South Pittsburgh neighborhoods. Most recently, FOPP hosted a Non-Profit & Arts Fair in Phillips Rec, which featured more than 20 non-profits, arts organizations and local small businesses. Future programming will include partnerships with local youth organizations, yoga and other outdoor fitness and games, community education events and more. They are very excited to bring first-class programming an underserved neighborhood.
