Auberle has been serving children and families in the Southwestern Pennsylvania region since 1952. Their innovative approaches to serving at-risk and low-income individuals, children and families has allowed them to expand their programs and services from 16 to 21 in the last year. Originally offering residential care to boys, Auberle currently serves all children and families through their residential, community and preventive services. Over 60% of their services are done in the home or in the community. Some of their highly praised and recognized programs and services include their 412 Youth Zone drop-in program for youth aging out of foster care, the Employment Institute, the region’s go-to workforce development program, At-Home, a rapid re-housing program and their newest program, a Family Emergency Shelter. In the last year, Auberle has been recognized by the Pittsburgh Business Times as a Healthiest Employer and as one of the region’s most Innovative companies, as well as receiving the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities Agency of the Year and Aramark Organizational Leadership Award. Auberle’s unique approach to partnerships with public, private and nonprofit sectors puts them in a distinctive role that allows them to create effective social change for the people they serve in the Southwestern Pennsylvania region.
