All Star Code creates economic opportunity by developing a new generation of entrepreneurs who have the tools they need to succeed in technology. All Star Code is a nonprofit computer science education program focused on motivated high school boys of color. The ultimate goal is to close the wealth, income, and opportunity gaps by developing a strong talent pipeline, creating diverse future leaders in America. The signature six-week Summer Intensive program was expanded to Pittsburgh from New York City in the summer of 2017 with one cohort of 18 students, hosted at Chatham University. The graduates are part of a growing Alumni network established to foster peer support and engagement: once an All Star, an All Star for life.
As a member of the Remake Learning Network, All Star Code seeks to learn and share the ideas, successes and failures that will inevitably enhance all their programs. All Star Code brings diversity and equity to the core of learning, technology, and career readiness.
