The mission of Aliquippa Green Inc. is to empower citizens of Aliquippa to become productive citizens and homeowners by providing educational programming to youth and young adults on the topics of urban agriculture, technology, and home restoration.

Aliquippa Green Inc.’s mission relies on its ability to facilitate the disruption of the educational system as it stands today. The challenge that they undertake is creating and providing curriculum relevant to residents by instructors who are representative of the population. Programming initiatives are based on community input and interest.

Aliquippa Green’s flagship program, CS for Quips, teaches students 6th-10th grade computer coding free of charge. Classes are taught in a group setting and students work together on a project of their choosing to demonstrate learning. The weekly classes enable students to build relationships with instructors as well as classmates.
