The Frick Environmental Center (FEC) is one of the greenest public buildings in the world, boasting Living Building and LEED Platinum Certification. This net-zero energy and water building uses ancient and modern strategies to leave Frick Park better than before it was built.

This year, with support from the Arconic Foundation, the FEC is offering 10 middle and high school classes FREE building tours of the Frick Environmental Center. Tours can last 30 minutes-1.5 hours for up to 30 people, but we can adjust the time and tour for larger class sizes. Turn it into a field trip in Frick Park by adding on a hike or lunch afterwards!

Interested in integrating this into your curriculum? Check out the Frick Environmental Center’s Lesson Bundles, featuring 5 different focuses of the building with ready-made lessons and activities. Whether you’re looking for a unit or a one-off lesson, there are plenty to choose from.
