Discover the awe-inspiring and thought-provoking murals of Maxo Vanka and immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of our city. Explore how the artist’s life story and the experiences of working-class people and immigrants influenced his painting.

Through rich discussion and hands-on activities, participants will reflect on the relevance of the murals’ themes of love, justice, and empathy in their own lives and in society today. The program will be co-facilitated by Michelle King (Vanka Educator, Learning Instigator, and Love Activist) and Becky Gaugler (Vanka Mural Director of Education and Interpretation.)

You will also have the opportunity to network with other educators.
