This professional development event will help attendees learn more about design thinking implementation for teenage students. After spending two hours skilling up, attendees will be provided access to the platform, as well as a facilitator guide and student facing material (10 hours of content and 2 hours of PD)

BUILD’s Thriving Communities Design Challenge – a fun, online experience for both students and teachers. It includes Interactive 360° interview experiences, the opportunity to practice 21st-century skills like problem-solving & innovation, meaningful real-world content, and a culturally responsive curriculum. Youth are invited to use Design Thinking to answer: How might we build powerful, thriving communities where everyone enjoys safety, wellness, and economic freedom?  Enjoy 10 hours of curriculum accessed through any wi-fi enabled device, accompanying teacher and student guidebooks, and engaging, relevant curriculum for your synchronous and asynchronous classroom.  Optional 2 hours of free professional development for educators to deliver the program with higher fidelity.
