The school year is over. What will happen to the students who are experiencing homelessness and how can educators help prepare them for next year?

This webinar, the first in the Mid-Atlantic Equity Consortium’s (MAEC) summer series, will look at homeless education and summer supports for students and families. Guest contributors will include homeless education experts, a McKinney Vento Act coordinator, and out-of-school time and other service providers who work to ensure that students who experience homelessness have equitable access to the resources they need to be successful.

After attending, participants will be able to:

  1. Define homeless education
  2. Understand the challenges and changes that have impacted students and families who experience homelessness in the midst of COVID
  3. Become familiar with services and resources available to students who experience homelessness
  4. Identify resources and tools that support students and families who experience homelessness
