Genius, Joy, and Love: Liberating Educators’ Creative Capacities for Change is an eight-day summer institute that will bring together educators to explore questions about how to center racial justice and equity through creative, arts-informed, innovative, relevant curricular engagements.

This institute, a partnership between the Pitt School of Education and the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, will take place primarily at MuseumLab, July 11-14 and July 18-21, 2022, 9 am-2 pm.

Selected Fellows will reflect on their identities, lives, and literacies; center their hopes, desires, dreams, and themselves as significant in our movement toward freedom; critically examine meanings of equity in learning; and lovingly understand the valuable role played by our very own creativities—through poetry, spoken word, art, and song.

Apply by April 1.
