For first-time grant writers or anyone with an idea for a great community program who isn’t sure how to get funding! Join this crash course to learn how it all works.

This two-part workshop series will cover a range of grant writing basics.

On Wednesday, March 30, Part 1 will give an overview of the funding and grantmaking landscape, the different types of funding (and how to find them), and the six main parts of a written proposal (based on the Western PA Common Grant Application).

On Wednesday, April 6, Part 2 will dive deeper into the sections of a proposal and discuss how persuasive writing can be utilized. The workshop will walk through excerpts from real grant applications for concrete examples, offer tips for overall success, and briefly examine opportunities from a few different grantmakers.
