Arts Ed Collaborative presents the: Arts Integration Workshops as part of their Teaching Artist Substitute Initiative.

These FREE workshops feature Pittsburgh-based teaching artists who will help educators with new ways to work across disciplines and share tools to support in any classroom. The February 2 workshop on theater will be led by Parag Gohel, Director of Education & Engagement Pittsburgh Public Theater.

In this two-part workshop, educators will activate their tools for performance, including voice and body, and also activate the lens for visual art and expression. The goal will be to create an atmosphere that encourages self-expression, risk-taking, and rapport amongst learners of all ages.

Parag will introduce foundational exercises for effective storytelling through energy and connection upon which to build, provide methods for focusing and centering, and also engage participants in exercises to appreciate and express themselves through visual art.

Please wear clothes in which you can easily move and bring some paper on which to draw along with a pen/marker/pencil (or any other art supplies) with which to create.
