Since 2017, Covestro has held nine THINC30 summits, bringing together business, philanthropic, academic, nonprofit, and government leaders, and students and teachers to address some of the world’s most pressing issues, using the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs) as a framework. THINC30 stands for transforming, harnessing, innovating, navigating, and collaborating for a purpose-driven, sustainable future by 2030. Its mission is to introduce and accelerate sustainable development and business practices, public-private partnerships, and social innovation.

As world leaders meet at COP26 in Glasgow, Scotland, Covestro’s THINC30 Youthquake will VIRTUALLY bring together high schoolers and their teachers from across the U.S. to introduce them to the 17 UN SDGs. Students will be challenged to think about their role as climate stewards of the future. THINC30 will feature keynote and spotlight speakers, panel discussions, fireside chats, videos, social media interaction, and other resources.

THINC30 Youthquake 2021 will be delivered using two main components — an event app via Attendify you download on your smartphone, enabling you to explore numerous local learning resources and the Covestro website. Teachers and students will be able to work at their own pace over the one-week period.
