West Virginia University’s Science Adventure School (SAS) is a 4-day, 3-night immersive STEM and nature experience offered at the beginning of a student’s 6th-grade year. Students should be prepared to step out of their comfort zone, get to know new friends, and find the scientist that lies within!
SAS combines adventure, ESTEM education, and experiential education. Students will leave inspired, confident, and ready to conquer 6th grade. The program makes its home in the world-class Summit Bechtel Reserve. With over 10,000 acres of wildness, outdoor activity venues, camping space, and so much more, students get to experience science in the great outdoors like never before.
This year, SAS is expanding its opportunity to 6th-grade students in southwestern PA. The program begins on October 19.
Educators and interested students can contact Alice Morgan, alice.morgan@mail.wvu.edu with questions.
