Intermediate Unit 1 (IU1) is accepting applications for the position of Fab Lab Coordinator.
A Fab Lab is an advanced digital fabrication suite of computer-controlled manufacturing machines, paired with components and tools for circuit design and micro-controller programming for electronics applications.

The position runs the Fab Lab on a day-to-day basis and mentors students, teachers, and community members through their projects and ideas. Duties will include establishing protocols for safe and effective use of the lab, monitoring of safety conditions, equipment maintenance, supplies inventory, record keeping, budget management, develop programs, and maintain schedule. The position provides professional development opportunities for administrators, teachers, students, and community members in the area of fabrication technology. This position is also responsible for traveling with the mobile Fab Lab when it is requested by school districts and for community events.
Bachelor’s Degree in Technology Education, Computer Science or related area. Master’s Degree and PA Teaching Certification is preferred.
