Mass Cultural Council’s Creative Youth Development and Education (CYD/E) Team works to change the lives of young people by bringing more arts, sciences, and humanities to youth ages 5-26, statewide. The CYD/E Team achieves this through annual grants for both in-school and out-of-school time programs. In addition to funding, the CYD/E offers technical assistance through site visits, convenings, professional development, and fellowships, and provides advocacy through its work with cultural organizations, other non-profit partners, funders, public agencies, and the state, national and international communities.

The Creative Youth Development (CYD) Program Officer supports approximately one-third of the YouthReach organizations, and serves as the primary contact for technical assistance, professional development, and compliance for these organizations. The Program Officer will also provide support and coordination for the Music Educator and Teaching Artist (META) and Creative Youth Development Fellowship programs. Additionally, the Program Officer will collaborate in revising and further developing the Creative Youth Development (CYD) and Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) Alumni Council, including work with other teams across the Agency. The Program Officer sustains a very responsive level of customer service for program participants and constituents. The Program Officer should be passionate about supporting asset-based Creative Youth Development practices for young people, teaching artists, and the broader field. Union Position.
