Experienced the impacts of citizenship-based discrimination or oppression? Experienced the impacts of climate change? Experienced both? Taken action to address citizenship or climate justice? If YES to any of these questions, Chatham University Eden Hall Campus wants to hear the story.

Participants can tell their story, or just come to listen and support other youth as they tell their story during this virtual event.

Guidelines for telling a story:

• Stories are limited to 5 minutes in length maximum.
• Stories can be pre-recorded and submitted a week before the event, or they can be performed live.
• Live or recorded stories can be told in any language. Chatham will provide translation services so all stories can also be heard by English-speaking attendees.
• Participants can be as creative and fun as they want in telling their story. Perform with a buddy, wear a costume, include music…the sky’s the limit!

All storytellers performing live are required to attend a virtual dress rehearsal on April 22nd at 6:30 pm. Participants should have their story fully prepared by then and be ready to practice their performance and also do a technology check. All storytellers submitting pre-recorded stories by video must submit their video to the event organizers no later than 8 pm on April 22nd.

Justicia climática y ciudadana”. ¿Has experimentado los impactos de la discriminación u opresión a causa de la ciudadanía? ¿Has experimentado los impactos del cambio climático? ¿Has experimentado ambos? ¿Has tomado medidas para tratar la justicia ciudadana o climática? Si has respondido SÍ a cualquiera de estas preguntas, esperamos ansiosos tu historia.

Si tienes entre 14 y 20 años, ven a contar tu historia o simplemente ven a escuchar y apoyar a otros jóvenes mientras cuentan su historia durante este evento virtual.

Pautas para contar tu historia:
? Las historias están limitadas a 5 minutos de duración máxima.
? Las historias pueden ser grabadas previamente y enviadas una semana antes del evento, o pueden realizarse en vivo.
? Se pueden contar historias en vivo o grabadas en cualquier idioma. Ofreceremos servicios de traducción para que los asistentes de habla inglesa también puedan escuchar tu historia.
? Te invitamos a contar tu historia de una manera que proteja tu identidad. No es necesario que compartas tu nombre o rostro en el video.
? Puedes ser tan creativo y divertido como quieras al contar tu historia. Actúa con un amigo, ponte un disfraz, incluye música … ¡el cielo es el límite!

Se requiere que todos los narradores que actúen en vivo asistan a un ensayo general virtual el 22 de abril a las 6:30 pm. Para entonces, debes tener tu historia completamente preparada y estar listo para practicar tu interpretación y también para hacer una verificación de tecnología. Todos los narradores que envíen historias grabadas previamente por video deben enviar su video a los organizadores del evento a más tardar a las 8 pm del 22 de abril.
