IU1 invites you to join teaching artist Amber Coppings from the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts for a series of free virtual professional development on creating digital art in a virtual classroom through the FREE platform Aggio.io!

Aggie.io (https://aggie.io/) is a browser based suite of digital art tools that can be used on any computer, or device for free. This tool has been integral to fun and successful creative experiences throughout the 2019-2020 and 2020-2021 school years.

This set of videos will help beginners learn the basic setup, tools, and sharing methods. Those with experience in Photoshop or other robust digital art programs will gain insights into the specifics ways Aggie.io echoes those programs, as well as how they differ. Aggie.io is not only for art teachers, but could also be incorporated into other classrooms as a way to integrate the arts, show understanding and retention of information, and to increase student engagement.

All educators are welcome to view this free series, so feel free to spread the word and join a live FREE PD session on Wednesday, February 24, 2021 at 1:00PM. Videos will be available on the IU1 EVOLVE platform until March 31, 2021. To view the series go to: https://evolve.iu1.org/programs/collection-aggio.
