“Yelling 2 Yoga” is a engaging webinar that utilizes the clinically tested F.R.E.E.D.O.M model to bridge the gap between educator self care, professional development and culturally relevant Social emotional learning skills. SEL has been proven to improve teacher and student performance for all and yet Black male educators have a unique experience, as many times they are the minority educator but also represent the majority of student body in areas with larger numbers of African Americans. This experience affects teacher and student performance. The F.R.E.E.D.O.M model allows Black male teachers to utilize the healthy principles of yoga to create convenient and applicable tools to implement SEL into their instruction and personal and professional development, for the enhancement of their experience delivering quality education for developing youth.
