Toshiba America Foundation (TAF) grants fund project ideas and materials that teachers need in order to innovate in their science, technology, engineering, and math classrooms or schools. An individual teacher or a small team of teachers should design the project to make STEM learning engaging and successful for students.

K–5 teachers are invited to apply online for a TAF grant of not more than $1,000 to help design and implement their innovative project in the classroom.

Sixth- to twelfth-grade teachers are invited to apply online for TAF grants of up to $5,000, or more than $5,000, to help bring their innovative project into the classroom.

TAF uses two application forms: elementary school (K–5), and middle school and high school (grades 6–12).

Deadlines:

  • K–5 applications accepted once a year on October 1
  • Grades 6–12 applications of up to $5,000 are due September 1, March 1, June 1, and December 1, annually
  • Grades 6–12 applications of more than $5,000 are due November 1 and May 1 each year
