Prioritizing Students in School Funding During the COVID Era – And How Teachers Can Have a Voice

During COVID-19, student needs have increased while education budgets are poised to shrink. At the same time, plans for reopening schools continue to shift, new costs emerge, and additional federal stimulus funding remains uncertain. In light of all of this, states and districts are facing difficult budget decisions for which there is no standard playbook. Teachers are needed at the table. Join us on October 27, when Dr. Marguerite Roza, a research professor at Georgetown University and director of the Edunomics Lab, will share updates on the state of school funding and share tips for teacher advocates who want to advocate on behalf of their kids.

To register, it’s requested that teachers first sign up for the Teach Plus PA Teacher Network; then, a registration link will be sent to you to register for the webinar.
