The 6th annual Maker Educator Convening will be virtual, held on Friday and Saturday, October 2 and 3, 2020.

Continuing the commitment to their values and the hard work that must done as a field, Maker Ed is thrilled to announce that this year’s theme is Making It Happen: Equity and Joy.

There will be approximately 3 hours of live content each day, including a keynote and a rich variety of sessions to choose from. The schedule and sessions will be released by the end of the summer. Stay tuned for more details!

Their proposal process is open! Apply now to join them as a presenter at this year’s Convening.

General registration opens August 3.

Maker Ed recognizes that a virtual convening will not be the same experience as an in-person one, but they are excited to thoughtfully design and plan an event that shares the field’s knowledge, enables inspiration and provocation, and supports the community to grow together.

At their 2019 Convening in Pittsburgh, PA at the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh, they shared two days with a community of 241 attendees from 31 states and 3 countries. Learn more about it here.
