How can I provide hands-on learning opportunities to my students while teaching remotely? Where can I get started with gardening/circuitry/film/etc.? What low-cost and low-tech activities can I create?
As we start a new school year, these are some of the many questions that educators are considering. Edcamp: Maker Learning is an opportunity for educators to learn and share how they are creating engaging hands-on activities for students during the 2020-21 school year and beyond. Edcamps are free public events that leverage the knowledge and experiences of attendees to create the topics and discussions of the day.
Participants have the option to propose a topic for discussion during registration. At the event, attendees will build the session board by voting on the topics they most want to discuss. We recommend all participants review the Edcamp Guide provided in their confirmation email to learn more about the Edcamp model, using Zoom and Padlet, and supporting breakout discussions.
Register to attend Edcamp: Maker Learning on September 12 at 9am PST/ 12pm EST.
