During August 17-19, the Teaching Excellence Academy of Carnegie Science Center is hosting the STEM Educator Academy for formal and informal educators. Participants of this professional learning event will become part of a CSC-backed international learning community that will provide support, collaboration, and useful resources well beyond the event itself.

Morning sessions will afford educators the opportunity to explore STEM competencies that are an integral part of today’s instruction and careers. Participants will then engage in a lunch series featuring regional STEM experts presenting on the topics of: STEM Ecosystems, seeking educational funding, and the development of STEM competitions.

For the afternoons, participants may choose one of three learning tracks to customize their experience: Digital Fabrication, Integrating Educational Technology, or The Internet as an Ally.

As a bonus, participants will have the opportunity to explore Carnegie Science Center and take part in evening excursions throughout the city of Pittsburgh.
