Join Remake Learning, University of Pittsburgh, and Arts Education Collaborative in discussing the Creative Learning initiative, a Heinz Endowment strategy to cultivate an equitable creative arts and cultural learning network, improve access to transformative learning experiences for young people, and support meaningful professional opportunities for teaching artists in Pittsburgh’s out of school time ecosystem.

This event is targeted towards education researchers and educators interested in research throughout SW PA but is open to any educator or researcher beyond the region.

Moderated by Remake Learning Research Fellow and PhD student Erin Gatz, the discussion will feature the following Creative Learning initiative participants:

Dr. Tom Akiva, University of Pittsburgh School of Education

Mario Quinn Lyles, University of Pittsburgh School of Education

Yael Silk, Arts Education Collaborative

Dr. Marijke Hecht, University of Pittsburgh School of Education

This is the first Researcher-Educator Meetup in what will become an ongoing series for education researchers and educators interested in research. This meetup will create space to discuss current research projects, imagine future research partnerships rooted in community interests, and bridge the gap between research and practice.

To avoid Zoom bombings, we’ll send the link to the chat after you register via email.
