MakerDate is Assemble’s semi-annual fundraising event that brings together the best of Pittsburgh’s crafters, makers, artists, and technologists in the style of a traditional date auction. MakerDate 2020’s theme is Make it Mythical and will take place on Friday, May 29, 2020 at Union Project (801 N. Negley Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15206). All funds raised from MakerDate 2020 will support Assemble’s goal of providing free STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, math) educational programs, such as afterschool programs and summer camps for learners of all ages. Check out all of Assemble’s program offerings at assemblepgh.org.

Assemble is currently looking for local artists who would be interested in donating “maker dates,” one-on-one or small group art classes with local artists, to their silent auction. MakerDate hosts can showcase their talents to the Pittsburgh community and teach someone a new skill!
