Personalized Learning² (PL²) is an ambitious effort to address opportunity gaps in mathematics that result in inequitable outcomes for students of color and other marginalized students. PL² combines personal mentoring and tutoring with artificial intelligence learning software. It is a joint research and development project of Carnegie Mellon University and the University of Pittsburgh’s Center for Urban Education, along with four different regional school sites. Join us to learn more about how PL² is piloting new regional research and practice partnerships, combining human and technology solutions, and to provide feedback on the opportunities and challenges associated with scaling such a resource more broadly.
