What is Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and how can we provide it during and after the school day? What all is happening in research, policy, and training? Join Remake Learning, educators, researchers, and leaders across the Pittsburgh region in discussing the research, application, and benefits behind SEL in the classroom, out of school, and at home.

This convening will include keynote speakers Felicia Savage Friedman of YogaRoots on Location, and Kevin McNair and his team from 1Nation Mentoring (PGH) and 6 break-out sessions on the following topics throughout the day:

1. The Whole Child with the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh

2. SEL for Older Youth with Sevenzo

3. Research and Practice with RAND and Trying Together

4. Parents and Families with Pitt School of Education

5. Pre-Service Training with the Pitt Office of Child Development

6. State Policy with Judd Pittman

You are to choose the 2 break-out sessions (1 morning and 1 afternoon) you want to attend as you register. There is a maximum of 30 attendees per break-out. If you register for one that is full, you may be placed in another session.

Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
