Parents, teachers, social service professionals, and interested community members are invited to a convening, entitled: “Improving Our Children’s Schools Through ESSA,” on Thursday, October 10th from 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.

The Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) has replaced No Child Left Behind as the nation’s central education law. Speakers and panelists will highlight how education advocates, Pittsburgh Public Schools, and the State Education Department are working to improve education for all, and will address questions and comments from the audience.

Sponsored by the Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh, this event is free and open to the public.

Please see the flyer, attached, for more details. RSVP required and will be accepted after the posted October 4th deadline.
